Colophon
“Colophon” comes from the Greek “κολοφων,” meaning ‘a summit,’ ‘top,’ ‘finishing.’ It is a description of the details and methods behind a publication, often found on the last few pages of a book.
Typography
The Art De Triumph & Artful Framer Studios logo uses two fonts. Art De Triumph is Felix Titling, and Artful Framer Studio uses Architecture. The website body text is Verdana and links are Trebuchet MS. The page titles and sidebar headers are set in Rambler Script using the Scalable Inman Flash Replacement technique. Nancie King Mertz is set using her own signature.
Design
Neoteric Design designed and developed this site, working closely with Ron Mertz & Nancie King Mertz to create a site that highlights their work. Neoteric redesigns websites with a focus on customer needs, site goals, ease of use and engaging design.
Technical
We used Adobe Photoshop, Omnigraffle Professional, and TextMate to create this site. It runs on PHP. Content is maintained using MovableType. A range of useful plugins are in use, including Multiblog and MTSQL. SmartyPants and Textile are used for text wrangling. The site is authored using structural XHTML, and complies with the 1.0 transitional web standards as set by the W3C.
